Account Deletion & Data Removal Policy

This page explains how Vibeshared handles account deletion requests, permanent data removal, and limited legal retention, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
1. Permanent Account Deletion
When you request account deletion on Vibeshared, your account is permanently deleted from our active systems.
- Your profile is removed
- Your content is deleted from active systems, subject to limited legal retention, caching, or third-party persistence
- Your account credentials are destroyed
- Account recovery is not possible
Once deleted, the account cannot be restored under any circumstances.
2. Immediate Deletion Process
Vibeshared is designed to process account deletion requests promptly and without undue delay, subject to lawful retention requirements. We do not place accounts in a waiting, cooling-off, or deactivation period, unless required by law or explicitly communicated at the time of deletion.
If the deletion option is labeled as Permanent Delete, the action is final.
3. Data Removal Scope
Upon permanent deletion, we remove Personal Data from our active databases, including:
- Account and profile information
- User-generated content
- Authentication records
- Social connections and preferences
4. Legal and Limited Retention
In limited cases, certain minimal data may be retained strictly where required by:
- Applicable laws or regulations
- Court or government orders
- Fraud prevention or security investigations
- Audit and compliance obligations
- Dispute resolution or law enforcement cooperation
Such retained data is access-restricted, securely stored, and deleted once the legal requirement ends.
5. Backups and System Copies
Deleted data may exist temporarily in encrypted backups or disaster recovery systems. These backups are:
- Not used for operational purposes
- Isolated from active systems
- Automatically overwritten as part of routine backup cycles
6. No Recovery Guarantee
Vibeshared does not offer account restoration, content recovery, or reactivation after permanent deletion.
Users are solely responsible for ensuring they wish to proceed before submitting a deletion request.
7. Legal Basis
Account deletion and data removal are processed in accordance with:
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India)
- Information Technology Act, 2000
- GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure), where applicable
